Jigsaw’s New ‘A’ line
There was a period when I shopped at Jigsaw quite a bit, it was somewhere I went to get cute basics and the odd accessory. Then I just stopped, and the longer I didn’t go in the more I thought of it as shop with pieces more suited to my mum than me. So when we were invited to the new launch in April, with my prejudice intact, I didn’t expect to particularly like the collection – never mind fall in love with it. It turns out the ‘A’ line is the definition of a capsule collection, read on to find out about our favourite pieces and why, in my eyes, it’s put Jigsaw on the map as a must stop contemporary high street shop again.
‘A’ line by Jigsaw is a contemporary capsule collection. Everything is here from your perfect tailored trouser to your forever maxi coat. With these pieces you can create a luxury wardrobe in a heartbeat and know each piece has been created with quality and longevity in mind.
A maxi coat has probably been on my ‘must buy’ list for some time, but being tall can be an issue when buying one in that they just aren’t maxi. This Crepe wool coat is, however, plenty long enough even for the leggiest of ladies. Yes a £650 price tag is expensive but for a long cashmere version you would pay a premium almost everywhere. There will only be a few made so this is not a typical high street buy where, once bought, you will see it on everyone. It’s also fuss free so will stand the test of time.
