This is my new weekend uniform: a peasant blouse or stripe tee with my See by Chloé dungaree dress. Despite the fact that it’s a nightmare to get into (no side zips or buttons, so I have to ask my husband to get me out of it in the evening!), it looks amazing on. The thick denim sucks you in in all the right places and the petal skirt is super-flattering – plus, it’s such a refreshing alternative to jeans.
This is my colour of summer 2017. Don’t be fooled by the slightly chalky appearance in the bottle, it actually goes on really bright and super-glossy and it lasts for AGES. I’m usually not a fan of matching nails, but this colour looks so scrumptious on fingers and toes that I’ve made an exception. Just one word of warning: the brush is not great so just swap for an Essie or OPI one when applying.
Ulla Johnson is my 2017 discovery – she makes good-quality, detailed, pretty dresses for the day that also feel effortless in the evening. This season I bought two and have been wearing them non-stop. The ‘Vera’ dress comes in black, white and coral, and is a cotton hippy-chic dress that I’ve been wearing with flats and heels, from everything from work meetings to weekends. My only advice: go a size smaller as it comes up big.
Fun clutches are something I rarely like to spend money on. You can find amazing ones on the high street so I don’t see the point, especially as I like to wear lots of different ones all year round. I discovered this £25 M&S one and had to have it – the fake leather strap lets it down though, so I just took mine off and use it as a clutch.
Technically not a purchase, but still an investment – I headed to George Northwood for my pre-summer cut and colour and I’m in love with the results. Sally coloured my hair a ‘rooty’ blonde and George cut it below my ears with a slight choppy feel.
