Mulberry AW17

Top Tips

  • Large or small, this shape works as a tote for the office or as a weekend cross-body bag
  • Stick to materials like leather or suede for an evening in the city, but raffia and jute are our go-to for holidays and weekends
  • Don’t feel you have to stick to standard colours; this is a fun trend so try unexpected neutrals like red or leopard print

Round Bags

Round bags are fast becoming the accessory of the summer. You probably feel like you’ve seen them everywhere – they’ve been carried all over, from Fashion Week to the beach, which proves just how versatile they really are. Most of them are conveniently practical and come in the familiar cross-body style, but a few of our favourites require a little more effort. They’re worth it though, just pack light! While we’re not ones to follow trends, we feel that this one will be here to stay – plus, the right choice will see you through garden parties, summer weddings and right up to the Christmas work do.

Top Tips

  • If you go for a wristlet or clutch style, don’t go any bigger than, say, the size of a CD. Remember you’ll be carrying it all night
  • Only carry what you absolutely need – this is a laid-back trend, so overstuffed is not a good look
  • Double up a cross-body style as a clutch by wrapping the strap around your hand
  • Choose a top-handle style to recreate a classic vintage hat-box look
