A great knit is a firm staple in our wardrobes. Chinti and Parker, the unbelievably chic knitwear label that has found its way into the wardrobes of women everywhere, is leading the pack when it comes to ethical fashion that doesn’t compromise on style. Each piece is a reminder of the brand’s commitment to the environment – a tag attached denotes its individual ethical credentials, so you can track its history. All of us at Wardrobe Icons own a piece of Chinti and Parker (or maybe three or four…), testament to the quality of the material and the brilliance of their perennially whimsical yet classic designs.
By Phoebe Roche
Founders and cousins Anna Singh and Rachael Wood created Chinti and Parker in 2009 after they realised there was a gap in the market for high-quality knitwear combined with a playful approach. Backgrounds in beauty and fashion, respectively, meant they were well-equipped to create their own luxe designs; the label has continued to flourish, growing to include a ready-to-wear collection with knitwear at its core.
I love this fun twist on the classic striped top - Chinti and Parker bretons are always beautifully cut and made from super-soft cotton. I know when I buy an item it's an investment that I will love and keep in my wardrobe forever
