3Maison D'Ulysse

Laura: Recently I decided to book a trip for my parents. I settled on La Maison D’Ulysse because it ticked so many boxes. Provence is not insanely busy, like the south coast of France. I wanted a very relaxing environment with a pool, but plenty to do just a short drive away and excellent food. La Maison D’Ulysse did not disappoint and was just the cultured break for them I hoped it would be.

2Barnsley House

Laura: I adore this hotel so much I even have a favourite room, Number 1 with its enormous double baths. I could literally live in there when I stay. It’s not child friendly at all, so it’s the perfect break for a couple. It’s intimate, has terrific food and a scorching hot outdoor pool that I love to swim in when it’s freezing outside. A highly recommended mini break just for adults.

Petro: In June, alongside my in-laws, we headed to Martinhal in Sagres Portugal. We had decided to rent one of the private villas on the resort. The resort sits on a wildlife reserve so has a real feeling of privacy and space. It has an unspoilt beach, numerous pools, an unbelievably chic spa and everywhere is super child friendly- even the 5 star restaurant in the hotel has a supervised play area. A total treat for those with little ones.

4Sani Resort: Beach Club

Petro: After my sister’s wedding all 50 of my family headed to the Sani Resort in Thessaloniki. The sea was calm and beautiful, perfect for active toddlers, and there are tonnes of wonderful child friendly restaurants to choose from, as well as a kids club and babysitting for a night off. However the most noteworthy thing was the incredible staff- the best we’ve ever come across.
