Inside the wardrobe of
She’s a new mum, a successful jewellery designer and the daughter of Peter Simon, the man who single handedly created one of our favourite stores of all times: Accessorize. We headed to Zara Simon’s Notting Hill home to discover what’s in her wardrobe and what inspires her eclectic designs.
If you are a Wardrobe ICONS regular you will know that we LOVE the ‘Z at Accesorize’ range- and if you ever wondered what ‘Z’ stands for we are proud to introduce you to the talented lady that conceived it all: Zara Simon.
I met Zara last summer, on a memorable press trip to Ibiza where I was amongst a bunch of journalists invited by the Simon family to celebrate 30 years of the business and to visit the island where the Accessorize concept was first dreamt up. I was already a “Z-fan” having bought pieces from the beautiful yet inexpensive collection for myself and my friends, but meeting the lovely, down-to earth and friendly Zara certainly sealed the deal.
On the trip I couldn’t help admire her fabulous holiday wardrobe made up of denim shorts, cool sunglasses and trendy bikinis all topped up with her own Zara Simon fine jewellery and Z pieces, so I had to ask if we could feature her in our High Summer special of The ICONS Update, for which she was the most fitting cover star.
