You finally have your beautiful Cartier bangle, iconic 2.55 Chanel bag or Joseph leather leggings but one day they get stained, scratched, marked or, in my case, drawn on by my three year old. What to do next? Wardrobe ICONS to the rescue! We’ve spoken to the experts to get some valuable advice on how to care for your wardrobe icons.

1Silks & Delicates
I always check the label of my delicates first and avoid frequent trips to the dry cleaners. Instead I try to air and steam as much as possible, before hand-washing with a gentle PH neutral wash. GHOST’s Garment Technologist, Valerie Murch advises testing colourfastness by wetting a small area, laying it on a dry piece of white fabric and pressing with a warm iron. If it leaves no colour on the white fabric then it is safe to wash.
