How To Make The Most Of Your Figure
In this month’s shopping list we wanted to focus on shape, but avoid the usual traditional curvy, pear and apple tags. Instead we focus on what we have and how we flaunt it.
We have been struggling for a while now with how to most effectively put together our ‘shape’ issue, the main problem being Laura and I can’t represent every shape out there. So instead we decided to dedicate a shopping list to how we dress to flatter our figures. As women it’s easy to get bogged down with what we don’t have: long legs, pert boobs, flat stomachs, small bums, thin arms…the list goes on and on. But at Wardrobe Icons we think it’s healthier to try and look at what you do have and how to make the most of those assets. We also find that traditional tags (apple, curvy, petite) don’t always apply to us, or we end up falling into multiple categories. In this issue we have enlisted the help of our Contributing Editor, Deborah Brett, who will be a regular face in future shopping lists when Laura goes on maternity leave, and who represents a different woman’s shape than Laura and myself. Our hope is that this shopping list will give you some tips that will help you enhance your ‘best’ bits, or in some cases help you deal with your ample assets with more love.
