Summer in the City
Like any good Italian, I will be jetting off to the seaside for the best part of August (please don’t hate me- it’s in my genes!). But for most people (including Petro who does hate me a little bit), at least part of the summer will be spent in the city at work. What to wear when temperatures rise and you still have to look smart? Here are five chic ideas from my style crushes.
Since introducing Wardrobe ICONS Personal Shopping service back in March we’ve been booked on so many assignments to tackle the eternal question on “what to wear at work” – I always start by saying that your work wear wardrobe has to feel like YOU, so I often look at our clients off-duty staples and find smarter alternatives.
Cropped trousers make the perfect summer trousers and are a great wardrobe staple, keeping you both cool and fresh the smart way. Choose tailored styles in smart fabrics and wear them alone or as part of a suit look like Net-a-Porter’s new recruit and my girl crush Sarah Rutson. Plus if you’ve just returned from holiday, this is your opportunity to show off some ankle tan with a fresh pedi and opened toe sandals.
