Your wardrobe swap over
It’s time to give your winter clothes a good clean, a neat fold and store them away in favour of your summer staples. Set some time aside for the process and don’t rush it – it can actually become an enjoyable experience if you follow our lead. We recommend buying a small collapsible rail to hang all the items you want to swap over and investing in our pros’ tools to assist you in the process.
Not all your coats and jackets will need to go to the dry-cleaners, as this can be an expensive business. Sort them out on a small collapsible rail, send those with stains to be dry-cleaned and give all the rest a good brush and a steam to get rid of small marks and hairs
Chances are you may still wear a few fine-knit sweaters throughout the summer, so keep hold of those and plan to store away your heavy jumpers and turtlenecks. Sort into three piles: hand-wash, dry-clean and air. Make one trip to the dry-cleaner, and de-bobble, wash or air all the other ones. Make sure everything is 100% dry before neatly folding away in plastic sleeves with moth repellant on top, then store inside breathable storage boxes. Don’t seal the plastic sleeves, as fabrics must air.
