  • Antonello£528

I have had an Antonello beach bag wish-listed for the past few years. It makes so much sense to have a fabric (yet sturdy) beach bag that flattens into nothing in your suitcase. It is expensive, but it’s city-appropriate too and after waiting so long to buy it I know I will treasure it forever.

    Saint Laurent£425

After seeing these slides in a personal-shopping client’s wardrobe, they’re going into my summer box. A summer slide is something I will wear every day, with everything from dresses to jeans. These aren’t cheap, but I know they will be eternally chic.

    Ganni£140

This is whizzing over to me as I type. I have been looking for a statement skirt for a year now, as it’s something that can transform a t-shirt and denim jacket or be teamed with heels and a shirt. This chiffon number will be a summer hero.

    Mango£17.99

I realised last summer that I desperately need a good summer hat that will flatten in my suitcase without getting damaged – et voilà! I found this in Mango.

    J. Crew£121

Since having Jacob I have been adamant my bikini days are over. However high-waisted bikinis are a compromise that I am planning to seriously investigate this summer.

    Y.A.S£60

A good chiffon dress can be worn in both the summer and winter – dressed up or down. That kind of versatility is something I want from a dress and my wardrobe in general.

    Topshop£24

A structured bag is on my summer wish-list. This Topshop raffia bag is not only summer-appropriate but it’s a great price point, and will make all my summer outfits look a little more pulled-together.

    Petro’s Summer Box

When looking at the season ahead, I often find it difficult to think about sandals and bikinis when every inch of me is wrapped up (where possible) in cashmere. This is where the summer box idea comes into its own. It helps to compartmentalise the shop – I plan what I want to buy for my summer trips rather than panic purchase pre-holiday. It also means I don’t miss out on the best buys that are inevitably released at the beginning of February when it’s far too cold to actually wear any of it, in the northern hemisphere at least.
