After the Burberry AW15 show Laura wondered over to me all starry eyed declaring that she has never wanted a dress as much as she wanted one from this collection, and knowing her she will get her hands on one. For those who aren’t as convinced but still like the boho look, the Monsoon heritage version from their archived designs and prints is a great alternative.
I have had my eye on a cream coat for a while, in fact I am still deciding whether I am un-clumsy enough to own one. They are the height of decadence because one spill and it’s over- definitely not a mother’s friend. But nothing will transform a pair of jeans or a simple shift dress into something as timelessly elegant as a cream coat. Will this be the year you take the plunge?
We both love this deep burgundy so much that at a recent press event Laura attempted to declare shot gun on it for AW15, but I’m not giving in so easily. Burgundy is one of those few shades of colour that goes with pretty much every neutral, and especially well with our favourite winter shade- navy. Needless to say you’ll be seeing a lot of both of us in this specific shade of red.
Laura has a pair of vintage knee high boots from YSL she has inherited from her mother. Round toed with a walkable stack heel, these are the perfect 70’s boot. Luckily, for those of us without glamorous hand-me-downs, knee highs were everywhere this season. So whether your budget is Lavin or Topshop we can all invest in a pair.
