5 questions with Co-Founder Louisa Preskett
__What’s your number one rule for setting a stylish table? __
Layering linen is key and creates a wonderful backdrop to even the simplest of tableware. Don’t be afraid to play with colour and pattern to make a statement.
What are your favourite pieces from the current curation?
I love our striped collection; it makes me think of the Hotel Il Pellicano and warm Mediterranean nights. The Darcey table linen is the perfect al-fresco linen, evoking memories of dining by the sea and childhood picnics in the countryside.
Which recipes would make it on to your dream dining table?
Anything from The River Cafe Cookbook. I love pasta, and anything Italian.
What’s the most inspiring place in the world for you?
I love Madrid; my father is a musician and would often play there. The culture, food and atmosphere always give me a great energy.
Aside from beautiful place settings, what makes a perfect dinner party?
It has to be the company; the right mix of guests makes for the most entertaining evening. The lighting must also be low! I love candlelight, anything warm and inviting. And a fabulous playlist, of course.
