When Victoria Beckham launched her first collection for Estée Lauder, we were sceptical but rave reviews meant we tried it – and we loved it. So we eagerly watched and waited for Victoria to launch her second collection and the moment it arrived we got hold of it. As with the first collection, there is so much to recommend it that we decided to dedicate an entire Beauty Focus to it. There is a reason it’s always a sell-out – every item is beautifully crafted and really works. Here are our four hero products from the new range that we guarantee you won’t regret investing in.
There are a lot of different types of highlighter out there, but I really love the consistency of this one. It comes in a super-luxurious gold tube and is a creamy consistency, so it’s easy to apply, but it dries completely, so it doesn’t come off. I dab a tiny amount on my cheekbones, across the bridge of my nose, on my cupid’s bow and underneath my brow bone. It gives a really subtle glow, rather than a shimmer, so it’s very wearable for the daytime. It is expensive, but one tube will go a long way, as you only need a small amount.
I am obsessed with this new lipstick; it’s become my new favourite. It’s completely matt, which I love, so once it’s on it stays put all day. In the tube it looks really pink, but actually it’s a very subtle wash of colour. The rosy pink mimics your own lip colour, so just gives you a bit of a lift – this shade would especially suit brunettes, as it isn’t like some neutral lipsticks that make you look washed-out. Somehow this makes your skin glow and your eyes look whiter.
Finding a good bronzer for pale skin is super tricky because it can so easily look orange or too brown. There are two that I like to use – and this is one of them. What Victoria has done is perfected a shade that looks as good on blondes as it does brunettes, so you look like you’ve been sun-kissed as opposed to sun-blasted. It also blends easily and doesn’t leave a cakey residue. For those with pale or olive complexions, this will become your go-to bronzer.
Packed full of fibres, this mascara is as good as it gets. The long wand fills up with product but distributes evenly, giving long, luscious lashes without any clumping. Lashes are nicely separated too, so there aren’t any spider-leg moments. Honestly, it’s the best mascara we have tried in ages and removes fairly easily, too. It’s an A+ from us.
