  • Top Tips

    • Avoid T-shirts that feel too Woodstock, and instead go for feminine cuts, such as A-line dresses and flowing silk skirts
    • Treat tie-dye as you would any vibrant print, by pairing it with block colours and smart tailoring
    • On the weekend, this relaxed trend goes perfectly with denim, whether it’s a jacket, cut-offs or jeans

    Grown-Up Tie-Dye

It used to be the hallmark of a creative teen (along with a bucket of fabric dye and some rubber bands), but recently tie-dye has been elevated to a thoroughly modern print in its own right. It has to be said that our affection for this colourful trend has been a slow burn – at first, we weren’t convinced. However, this season’s offering of updated designs in a unique range of colour combinations, stylish fabrics and classic cuts has really caught our eye. Now we can no longer deny that we are here for this nostalgic moment.

    Top Tips

    • A good way to dip your toe into the trend is to wear tie-dye accessories. Just choose pieces in a subtle colourway, such as blue and white
    • This playful print looks gorgeous with embroidered pieces, as well as sophisticated metallics and pleats
    • Don’t forget you can wear it as a layering piece. For instance, a silk tie-dye shirt under a blazer, or a flowing skirt under a trench
