  • Wearable AW19 Beauty Trends

We love the creativity of new-season beauty looks, and have long found them a source of inspiration for our own make-up bags. Leaving the super bold trends for the catwalk, we stick to those timeless updates that are both easy to wear and simple to achieve at home, which this season includes a sweep of fresh blush, a pop of autumnal lip colour, and a softly defined brow. Here are the four we’ll be trying out.

THE FRESH BLUSH – Seen on the Chanel AW19 catwalk, a sweep of pretty blush in shades of rose and apricot gives a fresh and feminine look that’s perfect for daytime. Make-up artist Lucia Pica used a soft-bristle domed brush to keep colour natural and diffused. Blend over the apples of your cheeks, then up towards the hairline, keeping the rest of your look simple. We’ll be using this NARS blush in Orgasm.

THE FRENCH BROW – We are well versed in the face-framing worth of groomed eyebrows, but this A/W we’re taking a leaf out of Isabel Marant’s book and switching our neat brows for something a little more undone. We’ll be using Bobbi Brown’s Perfectly Defined Long Wear Brow Pencil for a defined yet natural look.

THE SMOKY EYE – A classic beauty look, Tom Ford signalled the return of the smoky eye for AW19. This season’s wearable iteration is all about keeping things soft and smudgy with a monotone palette of neutrals. We’re blending the designer’s smoky Eyeshadow Quad, Supernouveau, over our lids and pairing it with a nude lip for the evening.

THE BERRY LIP – While we embraced subtle glosses in summer, autumn is calling for velvety, matte lipstick in rich reds, as seen at Helmut Lang. The perfect counterpoint to masculine tailoring and a glamorous addition to a black cocktail dress, apply straight from the bullet or blot on with your finger for a bitten look. We love Pat McGrath’s MatteTrance Lipstick in Obsessed
