  • Laura’s feel-good kit

As a busy working mother, I do whatever I can to feel as healthy and energised as possible. As well as maintaining a balanced diet, this means taking a few choice supplements to give me a boost when needed. With the turn of the season upon us – and in light of current circumstances – I wanted to share my favourites, in the hope that you’ll find something that you like, too. Of course, before taking anything, consult your healthcare practitioner.

    Microbiome Once Daily Women’s£25.50

A healthy gut is paramount to wellbeing and, as someone with coeliac disease, it’s something I pay particular attention to. This probiotic supplement contains a high count of beneficial bacteria from diverse strains to effectively support the digestive and immune systems. The once-a-day capsule (which is vegetarian and gluten-, dairy- and soy-free) can be swallowed whole, or opened and mixed into juices and smoothies. I take mine in the evening to give it time to work through my system and have noticed a significant improvement in my gut clock.

    Mykind Organics Vitamin C Spray£8.50

A dose of vitamin C will help support your immune system and promote skin and tissue health, so if you’re not getting enough in your diet, it’s something to consider topping up on. I use this particular supplement as it’s made from a blend of certified organic fruit and vegetables, plus the spray is a good alternative if, like me, you’re not a fan of ingesting tablets. Suitable for children over four, I use it on the whole family – spritz five times in your mouth every morning.

Nature’s Plus Source Of Life Garden Organic Women’s Daily Tablets£28.95

This is something I take all year round to keep my vitamin levels topped up, and me firing on all cylinders. From vitamin A to zinc, each tablet contains the full spectrum of vitamins, which have been derived from certified organic food. I’ve been taking one a day since September and feel like it’s giving me a real boost, especially on days when my diet has been lacking. The capsules are also easy to digest.

    Mykind Organics Vitamin B-12 Spray£11

This has been my secret weapon in keeping my energy levels up since I started taking it in September. Made from certified organic food, the vitamin B12 spray reduces tiredness and fatigue, promotes concentration and supports the immune system. The little bottle sits in my fridge, ready for me to spritz into my mouth every morning. It’s vegan, gluten-free and kosher, and has a nice taste, too.
