We are in awe of the undisputed queen of handbags and her impeccable design skills (Petro has been toting her donkey basket all summer long!). We also love the playful streak that runs throughout everything Anya does, from her accessories to her boutiques and fashion shows – which always bring a smile to our faces. Here, she shares the beauty, homeware and fashion pieces currently on her hotlist.
Santa Maria Novella
“Santa Maria Novella is an exquisite perfumery in Florence, one of the oldest shops in the city, I think. Everything is beautiful, but I particularly love the rose gardenia scent for summer – fresh and floral.”
Faith In Nature
“We recently opened a pop-up hair salon to celebrate the publication of my book, If In Doubt, Wash Your Hair. It is the piece of advice I often give when I am asked how I manage my busy life – I relish those few minutes in the morning. The grapefruit smell of the Faith In Nature shampoo is divine, and better still, the bottles are refillable.”
“I have a few pieces in my wardrobe that I return to again and again, and my Raey jeans are one of those. They are a great shape, and I can wear them with my favourite Birkenstocks to the office or switch it up to a (mid) heel now that a glass of wine with friends is back on the cards. I have my eye on this indigo wide-leg pair for autumn.”
“I always travel with some of my labelled pouches – everything has its place and a place for everything, as the adage goes. Lotions & Potions, the I Am A Plastic Bag Important Things and the Safe Deposit case are my favourites.”
“I am trying to reduce my plastic consumption and have been looking into alternative bathroom products recently. I came across Kleen Soaps – cold-processed vegan soap on a rope with aromatherapeutic scents. Good Vibrations is my favourite – rosemary, lemongrass and grapefruit (again!). It’s a great way to start the day.”
Present & Correct
“It is no secret that I am an organisation nerd – I have a great app that stores all my to-do lists, which I categorise. It makes me sound a bit sad, but I really have no choice with a business to run and five children. I also love great stationery. I have lots of these notebooks dotted around for when I want to scribble something down.”
The Pizza Oven Shop
“I am so looking forward to summer evenings in my (small city) garden with friends and family. I am a hopeless cook, but I do love to host! I am hoping to recruit James, my husband, and the children to make pizzas, which we can all enjoy together, al-fresco.”
