    It’s officially the sunshine season…

After a two-year strike, the wisteria in my garden is in full bloom, my picnic baskets have been enjoyed and I’ve even opened my summer box for a flying visit to Florence with Petro. The mood is firmly set to ‘sunny’, especially when it comes to our wardrobes. Effortless dressing with a playful touch is how I like to approach the warmer months, so this bumper issue is dedicated to all the pieces that sing spring, whether worn in the city, at the weekend or on holiday.

There’s no better place to start than with dresses, our go-to spring/summer uniform, and it certainly pays to have the right ones in your collection. In our ICONS Guide, we’ve highlighted the seven hardworking styles that we believe deserve a spot in every woman’s wardrobe. Whether looking to fill a gap in your existing selection, or building a capsule from scratch, turn to page 2 to consult our edit.

Speaking of standout dresses, this issue’s cover star is the second exclusive style from our Mondo Corsini collaboration. Crafted it in light linen with a flattering tie waist, long sleeves and beach-ready green stripes, it’s the perfect holiday dress. Pack it into your suitcase to wear with flats in the day, then dress up with jewellery for dinner. To find out more about Mondo Corsini, head to page 9 for our Spotlight On feature.

One ICONS Exclusive didn’t feel enough for this issue, so I’m also delighted to reveal our Rae Feather basket bag. We’ve wanted to create a basket for a while and couldn’t have wished for a more perfect partner to do it with. The classic shape comes in two colourways and features Rae Feather’s signature personalisation, which is all done in the UK. Pick between tan and black, then have your initials monogrammed. I’m so proud of this launch, and to showcase just how versatile it is, in this issue’s Style Sheet I’ve shown you how to wear both colours for every occasion, from pool to desk-side.

Elsewhere in the issue, we share why lightweight trouser suits and flat sandals are the chicest way to dress for the office now, and round up the Perfect Pairings to try. I’ve indulged my obsession with spring black by picking the very best pieces of the season, from jumpsuits to sunglasses. (In my opinion nothing looks sleeker in the city.) We also shine a light on our current Unexpected Hero: the curated ear. If, like me and everyone else at ICONS HQ, you’ve found yourself wishing to adorn your lobes with multiple teensy studs and hoops, turn to page 7 to discover the most stylish ways to do so.

Whenever a friend visits London, I always recommend they take a trip to one of my favourite stores, Koibird. A destination for holiday style, the edit is as covetable as it is escapist, and a reflection of founder Belma Guadio’s flamboyant taste. I’m thrilled to have Belma share her spring hotlist on page 5. For even more spring/summer style inspiration, watch our final instalment of the MATCHESFASHION masterclass, where we show you how to wear crochet, clogs and basket bags.

Finally, we have the second part of our skincare special, where beauty expert Ava answers your frequently asked questions on eye cream, dark circles and dry skin. Plus, don’t forget to enter our competition to be in with a chance of winning £1,000 to spend at luxury label Really Wild. Good luck!
