  • Laura’s New Season Edit

I’ve got to a point in my life – and wardrobe – where I don’t buy a lot at the start of a new season. Instead, I focus on ways to wear what I already have and fill in any gaps. This season I’m planning on revisiting some of my most-loved pieces from last winter and spring, such as a pair of Nili Lotan jeans and my Burberry trench. I’ll be adding roll-necks to layer under dresses, shirts and jackets and making a big investment in a new handbag that will work with almost everything I own.

    Laura

    Loewe

Woven Green Basket Small Leather Tote£1,650

This is my first new bag in years and I wanted something big enough for my daily must-haves, but not too large it weighs me down. The green colour palette offers freshness, while being neutral enough to work with my autumn wardrobe.

    Arket

Relaxed Beige And White Poplin Shirt£69

I’m gravitating towards shirts at the moment. This will look great with a cream roll-neck layered underneath and worn with wide, high-waisted jeans. Plus, I’m a sucker for stripes.

    Nili Lotan

    Flora Pleated High-rise Wide-leg Jeans£430

I bought a very similar pair last spring and plan on wearing them all season. Although these are made of denim, the cut and quality means they can be worn like a trouser.

    Blazé Milano

Resolute Everyday Double-Breasted Velvet Trimmed Blazer£1,146.60

A smart navy blazer is the key to polishing up a look, and Blazé Milano makes the very best. I’ll be saving up and making an investment early next year.

    Varana

Chalk V-neck Fringed Cashmere Sweater And Midi Skirt£1,145

The appeal of coord dressing isn’t going anywhere for me. I love how simple a matching set makes getting dressed. This winter white cashmere duo is on my wish list.

    Burberry

    Chelsea Heritage Long Trench Coat£1,650

The shoulder months, when the weather gets cooler, are when a trench really comes into its own, so I’ll be layering my Burberry over every outfit from now until winter.

    Arket

    Leather Penny Loafers£159

I really like how a pair of loafers lends a cool, masculine touch to whatever they’re worn with, be it dresses or jeans. These are my shoe of choice for the season.

    Timeless Pearly

    Gold-tone Crystal Ring£305

I’m a collector of gold jewellery with hearts, so this ring really speaks to me. In fact, I already have it in another colourway and treasure wearing it.

    Asceno

    Valencia High-neck Black Silk-satin Maxi Dress£320

I like to wear silk with knitwear during the colder months, and will be layering Asceno’s dress with a roll-neck or maxi cardigan and boots. Simple and stylish.

    Isabel Marant

    Cener Leather Knee-high Boots£890

I’ve had my long boots for more than 10 years, so I’m looking for a replacement. The thick sole on these will toughen up dresses – not to mention make them comfortable to wear.

    COS

Slim-fit Merino Wool Turtleneck Top Navy And White£45

My tip for autumn is to invest in a few merino roll-necks and layer them underneath dresses, shirts and blouses to take them into the new season. This is a great way to maximise your wardrobe.

    Westman Atelier

    Lip Suede – Les Nudes£78

I never travel without this lip palette. The paler tones create the most flattering barely-there flush, while the darker shades are perfect for the evening and can also be used on cheeks.

    Really Wild

    Lambswool V-Neck Cardigan £112.50

The cardigan is made from the first clip of wool which makes it extra soft. I love the soft moss tone which acts just like a neutral but has a point of different. I’ll layer is over silk dresses.

    Aligne

    Tie-Waist Wide-Leg Suit£199

I’m enjoying rediscovering suits this season and this style has caught my eye. The tie detail on the jacket creates a flattering silhouette on petite frames like mine.

    Anya Hindmarch

Loose Pocket Little Things Green Leather-trimmed TPU Pouch£75

Receipts, ear pods, plasters for my girls – they all go into this pouch, which can be slipped into whatever bag I carry and means I’m never without the essentials.
