I have never been straight up and down, in fact I have always had a big bum and hips. Post-kids I have evened out more and have more of a bust now. The one-piece makes me feel pulled in and confident. My musts are a decent coverage on the bottom half and a structured cup for some sort of support. 50s shapes tend to be the most forgiving, while high legs and 80s cupless styles are a no-go for me.
Reiss swimsuits aren’t heralded enough. They are brilliantly engineered, look luxurious and they tend to be designed with actual women in mind. I have this swimsuit – it’s very flattering on the leg and the panels are slimming, but it is narrow on the bum area, so it could be considered a little cheeky.
If you are planning to splash out, this is the one-piece to do it with. Karla Colletto fabrics are brilliantly sturdy and therefore smooth lumps and bumps. The delicate detail around the chest area will mean you can easily wear it as a body with a pair of palazzo pants over the top – suitable for post-beach drinks.
