  • Petro’s SS19 Wish List

As a big tailoring fan, this season I’ve decided I’d really like to embrace some fab suiting and add a piece or two to my wardrobe. And, inspired by our trends story, I’m not gravitating towards black. Instead, I’m thinking beige – a choice that feels both classic and modern. Then I’ll add elements like a silk shirt and dress for a touch of femininity.

    Saint Laurent

    Rive Gauche-print Canvas Tote£ 765

“This is a real nostalgia buy for me because I love the 90s element. It’s also the kind of bag I know I’ll fold up and take with me everywhere.”

    Classic Wool-blend Blazer£ 520

“I love double-breasted blazers, but I’ve realised they’re just not as flattering as this single-breasted style, which is ideal for my curvy figure.”

    Wool-blend Straight-leg Pants£ 315

“I often struggle to find sleek trousers – the cut is either too flared or cropped. This pair really work. I love the classic, cigarette-shaped style.”

    Zimmermann

    Python-print Silk-chiffon Blouse£ 495

“I’m trying to steer clear of floral prints this season because I have so many. Instead, I’m going with snakeprint – and this blouse ticks my penchant for daytime silk too.”

    Saint Laurent

Tribute Nu Pieds Leather Slides£ 425

“I wear my Chanel flats all the time and I’ve been looking for a slide version that’s grown-up enough to wear every day, but still elegant for night.”

    Chloé

    Monogram-buckle Leather Belt£ 355

“When the Gucci belt came out last year, I didn’t buy it because there were other things I needed more – but I was a little sad. So this season, I’ve set my sights on the Chloé one.”

    Topshop

    Topstitch Shirt Dress£ 49

“I have a thing for shirt dresses – I love how easy they are to dress up or down, and this vintage pink one is no exception.”

    Ward Crepe Satin Skirt£ 345

“My wardrobe is missing a satin skirt, and my pick is this sleek style with a delicate lace trim and that 90s feel that I love.”

    Topshop

    Jacquard Knot Headband£ 10

“I find headbands tricky because I have long hair, so they can look a little ‘try hard’. But this works because the fabric is simple and almost disappears tonally into my hair.”
