Elevated Athleisure
For long-haul flights, stretch fabrics will provide enduring comfort so reach for your black leggings and build your outfit around them. A double-layered T-shirt leans into the sporty aesthetic while a hoody will keep you warm if you doze off – go for a logo-free style in a classic neutral. Use a leather tote and mannish overcoat to add elevating structure.
Smart Layers
Versatility is paramount when travelling so layer up in lightweight pieces that can be removed or added throughout your journey, depending on time of day and temperature. Pull-on trousers in an easy neutral is a good place to start – top with a classic white T-shirt and luxe collared knit. A denim barn jacket and deck shoes lend cool-factor.
Tonal Comfort
Manifest a serene journey by dressing in a calm palette of taupe, biscuit and buff. A laid-back track set stays on theme as do slip-on Birkenstocks clogs (don’t forget thick socks to prevent ankle-chill). Disguise dehydrated plane hair by piling it up into a luxe claw clip.
Classic Black
Dressing head-to-toe in a single colour is one of the simplest ways to look pulled-together – and when it comes to picking that colour, you’ll never go wrong with classic black. Team a fine rollneck with joggers and a chunky knit. Flat loafers provide all-day comfort while a luxe watch and XL sunglasses add extra polish.
Lounge Lux
A pair of soft track pants are invaluable on holiday as they can be worn as pyjamas, for working out or if the weather is on the chillier side. Save suitcase space by wearing them on the plane and team them with a tonal knit and coat. A pair of ballet flats can be easily slipped off in favour of cashmere socks mid-flight.
Relaxed Denim
For long weekends and city breaks, an outfit that can take you straight from the airport to your lunch reservation is needed. Dark-wash wide-leg jeans are relaxed enough for the plane but can instantly be dressed up with an oversized blazer. Switch your carry-on canvas tote for a sleek and capacious leather shoulder bag.
