Boho is having a moment again — but this time, it’s all about restraint. The mood on the Chloé runway was relaxed yet refined, with fluid dresses, natural fabrics and softly structured layers. Off the catwalk, that translates into linen maxis, subtle crochet trims, leather slides and artisanal jewellery in a muted palette. Boho, yes — but grown-up, grounded and entirely wearable.
Colour, the Grown-Up Way
Colour was everywhere on the SS25 runways, from saturated brights to bold blocking. But for everyday wear, it’s about finding a shade that works for you and letting it lead the look. Try pairing a tomato red shirt with white trousers or layering soft lilacs with sand tones. A pop of colour in a single piece can transform an outfit – just keep the shape classic and let the hue do the work.
Clever Crochet
Shedding its beach-only image, crochet is stepping into city life. On the catwalk, we saw everything from full crochet tailoring to delicate layered knits. Our take? Use it as a texture play. Try a cream crochet top under a blazer, or a skirt that gives a hint of skin without being showy. Choose structured shapes and keep the rest of your look sleek to balance the softness.
Earthy, Elevated
From rich browns to warm terracottas and soft olives, earthy tones were the quiet stars of the season. The beauty of this palette is its versatility – it works with denim, white, black, and even bright colour pops. Try tonal dressing for a streamlined effect (such as taupe with cream) or mix in textures like suede, linen and cotton for depth. These shades feel grounded, wearable, and effortlessly chic.
The New Monochrome
At Fendi, monochrome took on a fresh elegance for SS25 — soft structure, subtle layering and fluid silhouettes in pared-back black and white. It’s a reminder that this palette doesn’t need to feel stark or severe. A grid-check top with a flowing black skirt, sheer layers peeking from beneath the hem, or a bold accessory in the mix — this season’s take is all about balance and unexpected detail. Timeless, yes, but with a modern ease.
Print That Works
Prints were playful but polished this season, and Emilia Wickstead showed just how considered they can be. From oversized florals to softened geometrics, the key takeaway is shape — keep it clean, and let the print shine. A graphic blouse with tailored shorts or a printed midi with pared-back accessories is all you need. For print-shy dressers, a scarf or bag is the perfect entry point.
