“I don’t think my style changes on holiday, but I definitely get more playful and lean into colour and fun accessories more than I might at home. I think my holiday style reflects my holiday state of mind: more relaxed, easy-going and happy!”

“Little Liffner is one of my favourite bag brands – such amazing quality and at a reasonable price. All of their bags toe that line between effortless and pulled together perfectly and this is no different – I love the little added charm on this one, plus it packs so easily because it’s totally flat.”

“My packing process is usually a tale of two halves. For longer trips, I start about a week in advance — pulling things out of storage, making sure everything’s clean and laying out piles. But it’s usually a mad rush the day before when everything actually goes into the case. I use dust bags or packing cubes for underwear, swimwear, activewear and basics, and roll everything else to make the most of the space. I always bring a steamer to tackle creases and use a dust bag as a laundry bag to keep worn items separate. I don’t plan outfits too rigidly — I prefer to mix and match depending on how I feel, but I do have mental notes of what goes with what. I’ve realised I pack lighter for winter or city breaks, focusing more on accessories, whereas in summer I wear the same sandals and bags on repeat and have more fun with the clothes.”

“Day-to-night dressing is all about accessories. The right earrings, bag or shoes can make the most casual pieces look more refined, and vice versa. I often dress down my dressier pieces with baskets, string market bags and beaded necklaces to make them feel more relaxed.”

“I’m a flats girl through and through. Those Greek island cobbled streets aren’t made for heels! I consistently reach for brown sandals on holiday – they just feel that bit softer and more versatile in the summer.”

“I think I’m getting more and more casual when it comes to dressing for dinner on holiday. Anything too fitted or with too many laces or buttons just doesn’t feel like what I want to throw on after a day at the beach anymore. In a sea of floral dresses, I think there’s something very chic about a woman in loose, wide leg jeans and sandals for dinner. Denim is always the best match to metallics or drapey silk tops. I have a pair of Slvrlake denim Bermuda shorts I’m taking with me this summer that I’ll be wearing with my slinkier tops.”

“I’m really into everything sheer this summer. This dress is from one of my favourite Turkish brands, SIEDRÉS – I love the starched white collar, which feels kind of unexpected on a holiday dress. That small point of difference is something I look for anytime of year. I can’t come home from Greece without something ceramic and we have lots of plates, bowls and bits and bobs dotted around at home that we’ve managed to get home in one piece. One of our favourite Greek islands, Sifnos, has some amazing, old potteries that are definitely worth visiting.”

“I like accessories with a bit of personality in the summer, be it a big oversized fish pendant or a vintage beaded bag. I always like a bit of contrast in an outfit, so a basket bag with a silk dress or a leather bag with crochet.”

“I like a natural tan but I’m pretty fastidious about SPF. I love Institut Esthederm and have been using Lancaster Aftersun for decades now. I use IS Clinical SPF50 for my face as well as Dr Jart+ SPF50 tinted moisturiser to try and keep my melasma and pigmentation in check. I always take fake tan for my face or the Sisley sun glow gel, otherwise I end up with a very white face and neck that doesn’t match my body! The Hunza G UV bucket hats are great for adding an extra layer of protection too. My blonde hair needs a lot of TLC if I’m swimming in the sea, so I love the Oribe Hair Alchemy Range and the Phyto After Sun deep conditioner to try and keep it as hydrated as possible. Virtue Healing hair oil is the best thing I’ve found for keeping split ends in check and smoothing frizz too. I’m also loving the Uni body serum – it smells incredible and is super-nourishing for dry skin.”

“I never go on holiday without a handful of pareos, and normally come home with at least one new one. The easiest outfit I reach for every day on holiday is a sarong knotted into a mini skirt over a bikini with a big, oversized button-down shirt over the top. Three shirts and three pareos give you multiple options to last all week.”

“Bode does the most beautiful investment pieces and this beaded top is a favourite I’ve been taking on trips for years now. I love the open sides and tabard-style shape. It’s decorative but feels very casual when worn over loose linen or cotton trousers and flat sandals. I like dressing it down with a long cord necklace like this from Blooming Dreamer, or some more boho earrings.”

“Nothing says summer more than breezy, semi-sheer white cotton to me. I really feel like I’m on holiday when I’m in a white mini dress like this one from If Only If – I always love their cotton voile night dresses over bikinis on holiday too. The Tove shirt is one of those pieces I’ve been waiting to wear in Greece. It feels half boho, half elegant and refined, so it can lean into whatever mood you’re in. I’ll probably pair it with denim Bermudas or mini crochet shorts.”

“Summer jewellery to me should be simple but a little bit eclectic and bohemian. I’m never without an anklet or two, and I like layering beads from Emma Milne Watson, Sophie Buhai or ones picked up on holiday, with chains and cord necklaces from Missoma. My new Arco design combines a weighty metal pendant on a cord necklace, which kind of sums it up for me. You can tie it as a choker or much longer and more languid, which I love over slip dresses or peeking out under a shirt – I’m also experimenting tying it round as a belt with skirts.”

“I often don’t wear any fragrance on holiday at all – I love the smell of aftersun – but I do love fresh citrusy scents in summer. If I have an event or party somewhere hot, I love Loewe Solo Ella – it’s got jasmine, orange blossom and woody undertones so it has that holiday feel without being sweet or coconut-like.”

“I don’t think I’ve been anywhere without at least two pairs of my Missoma Entwine hoops and snake chain necklaces since they launched five years ago. They really are the easiest, go-to earrings and work with everything – the mixed metal ones are the best because you don’t even have to decide between gold or silver.”

“No one should take notes on how I pack jewellery for holidays! It all gets thrown into a velvet make-up bag and normally needs a lot of untangling. I really want to be an elegant jewellery roll girl, so maybe I’ll make that my goal this year.”

“I just got this great pair of Raybans I haven’t seen before. They’re called the Lukas and have that oversized, squared ‘70s shape I love right now.”

“I’m a terrible ‘just in case’ person, and always take too much in my carry-on! A tinted lip balm, hair ties/clips, noise-cancelling headphones, a big bottle of water, snacks (just in case you end up sitting on the tarmac for ages) and a lightweight sweater or scarf (I always get cold on flights or want something to rest my head on) would pretty much do it for me. I do always take Leapfrog Vitamin C tablets before and after a flight too to try and ward off catching a cold on the journey. I swear they’re magic!”
