I adore this sculptural piece by American ceramics studio Dumais Made. I would give it to my daughter, Rosie, who is permanently staring at herself in the mirror!
These little pansy motifs, set against mottled blotting paper, remind me of a good old-fashioned writing desk. For even if a single sentence, the impact of a hand-written note in the post cannot be underestimated. A gift for every godchild, and an incentive to write and thank you!
After just one diligent interview with a member of Heywood Hill's charming team, a carefully considered tome will work its way to your bedside pile every month. Truly a joy to give and receive. I would (and have) given this to my husband, who can’t read enough non-fiction accounts of WWII/The Cold War.
The absolute ultimate. A genuine investment. Unparalleled cosiness – and they only get better with every wash.
I am never without an Hermès scarf around my neck; to design one is my absolute dream. For now, this one would go with everything I own. I shall give this to my mother so I can steal it back.
I first sniffed this scent on a trip to Japan about 15 years ago and have been spritzing it ever since. Fresh and floral but not too sweet. It’s a permanent feature in my stocking.
Edward Bawden is my design icon. Oh, to mine his brain for a day. I adore this tote from the V&A. After all, there’s always room for one more tote to hang on the back of the kitchen door...
Who are we kidding, I have obviously already bought this! I love Wiggy’s clothes so much; I feel like she designs everything with me in mind. She’s so clever.
Jonathan Anderson’s work at Dior is wonderful, but I am even more enamoured by the small, perfectly curated homeware collection at his eponymous label.
Everything in Louise’s collection for Sharland England chimes, which is why we did a collaboration this year! So warm, cosy, artisanal and considered.
I am obsessed with these little jewels and dot them all around the house. They are a terrific bedside nightlight, give my dining table a gorgeous glow and perk up mantelpieces no end. I give them to everyone and they are always cherished.
This jumbo bottle always gets wrapped up and presented to my husband on Christmas morning: cue eye rolling, ‘I wonder what this could be?’, etc. It’s a comedy-sized must-have that gets transferred gradually into an old whiskey decanter. The bracing aroma and radioactive colour makes for a fabulously nostalgic bath time.
