Clothes designed with quality, meaning and integrity are clothes that will last a lifetime. It’s an ethos we share with London-based designer Edeline Lee. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2014, her eponymous brand has become a go-to for precision-cut womenswear that meets the demands of modern womens’ busy lives and has been seen on the likes of Solange Knowles, Olivia Colman and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Here, she shares the items currently on her wish list.

“This is one of our perennial dresses, which we make in many colours and flatters all shapes. Our signature fabric resists wrinkling, making it very easy to travel in or look sharp throughout a demanding day and into the evening.”
“I have Jennifer’s scenic wallpaper in my dining room, and it’s definitely my favourite room in the house.”
“I love this ring – it’s inspired by Ettore Sottsass and hand-lacquered in the UK.”
“For Autumn/Winter 2023, I added tailored suits to the collection. The boyfriend shape gives this jacket a strong but relaxed look.”
“Black tights are a wardrobe basic and these are my favourites.”
“All of our clothing is made by hand in our factory in London, so I really appreciate when beautiful things are made locally. Jonathan pours his candles by hand in East London.”
“For our London Fashion Week show, Ladurée made us the most adorable Edeline Lee macarons. Our illustrations for the season by Garance Wilkens and logo were printed on them. They were just adorable – and delicious.”
“This blouse is very easy to wear, with a forgiving shape. I wear it like a T-shirt, tucked into a skirt.”
“Cora’s rings are so playful and whimsical. They are flawlessly made, and make such a strong graphic statement.”
“My Autumn/Winter 2019 show was inspired by this book, and a collaboration with Mary Beard. Everyone should read it.”
