As we move into the new season, comfort is still paramount for me. I need pieces that can take me from business meetings to the school pick-up while making me feel as good as they look. This means a dressed-up casual aesthetic comprising knitted layers and luxe basics that will effortlessly work with my existing cold-weather collection. I’m doubling down on pieces I know I’ll get repeat wear from, such as jumpsuits, boots and knitted dresses (Chloé’s striped iteration being at the very top of my wish list). An injection of colour will come via a swipe of statement lipstick – which, after so many months of minimal at-home make-up, I can’t wait to wear!
“I’m so excited about Gabriela Hearst’s tenure at Chloé, and this recycled cashmere dress from her debut collection is something I will be reaching for on repeat.”
Jimmy Choo
“I invested in a pair of leopard-print boots a couple of seasons ago and cannot recommend them enough. Endlessly adaptable, they amp up neutrals, tastefully clash with prints and work with block colours for both day and evening. The trick is to choose a pair with a walkable heel, such as these.”
“As far as jewellery goes this season, my motto is: pile it on. I’ll be reaching for oversized gold chains and wearing them as necklaces and bracelets layered over knitwear.”
“Boden really are masters of the striped top, and this wide-stripe cashmere knit will elevate everyday jeans.”
“Gold hoops are my daily go-to, but these T-bar earrings make for a new-season update. Just the thing to add subtle glow to everyday outfits. Plus, the bars can be removed, for double the styling opportunity.”
Ulla Johnson
“Jumpsuits have become a staple in my autumn/winter wardrobe, and I love Ulla’s feminine silhouettes. When temperatures drop, my tip is to layer up with a roll neck underneath. Reach for fine-gauge merino knits or striped jersey styles.”
