From a small store on New York’s Lower East Side to one of the most sought-after labels in the world, The Frankie Shop isn’t even a decade old and yet it has the sort of dedicated following associated with a storied fashion house.
Beloved for its signature aesthetic of smart, oversized suiting, it has become a sartorial genre in its own right, filling a niche for women who don’t subscribe to flash-in-the-pan trends and style without comfort.
From beautifully tailored outerwear to pared-back loungewear and statement shirting, The Frankie Shop’s eye-catching silhouettes belie the practicality of its designs, which are focused on, and cater for, real women with real lives. They’re easy to wear but not easy to forget, bold but not overpowering, contemporary but always timeless. Invest in them now and you’ll wear them forever.
The Frankie Shop’s modern take on timeless style makes for wear-forever wardrobe staples with a twist.
French-born Gaëlle Drevet began her working life in journalism before pivoting to fashion with the launch of Pixie Market in 2006, heavily inspired by time spent in London trawling Portobello and Shoreditch markets. In 2014, she opened the doors to The Frankie Shop, a humble concept store that had the intention of serving women like herself – who believe feeling good means looking like themselves. Three years later, the company launched its own ready-to-wear designs, and a cult brand was born.
