The lead-up to my summer holidays and the wardrobe that will match the vision is something that keeps me going through the winter as my ultimate happy thought. It’s never too early to start filling my box, but the recent S/S deliveries to some of my favourite stores mean the planning has just got serious. This year I am daydreaming about warm summer days in London in a utilitarian linen dress from Mango, shopping the markets of Sicily in a Zimmermann yellow frock and sailing in Ibiza with my new Ulla Johnson knitted bag. Let the summer-box planning begin!
My heart skipped a beat when I laid eyes on this printed bandana top and, along with the matching skirt, it embodies my summer vision of retro chic.
I’ve unofficially started a collection of woven bags. The perfect partner to a floaty dress, this bag with its sleek gold metal handles will look great on the beach and in the city.
A coordinated separate means you can wear your skirt or top with lots of other items in your wardrobe. Surely a sign that this versatile skirt should be mine?!
This is what I’m imagining myself wearing as I strut around the markets in Italy this spring. Just the right side of feminine, I Iove the asymmetric cut of the skirt and floaty linen fabric.
Rainbows at my feet! These multi-coloured knitted slides will make me smile every time I look down.
Shells and turquoise – what could be more summery than this gorgeous combination on a glistening gold hoop?
A little high-street gem – I can think of a million ways to wear this simple linen dress and it’s likely to become my workwear summer staple.
