  • Your Sun-Safe Kit

There may have been a time when one sunscreen would do the trick, but we’ve found that having a collection of high-protection formulas is the key to staying on top of sun care. Our favourites all have clean credentials, which is really important to us. And we’ve found that these formulas, from a lightweight mist to a clear stick, all play their part. Here are four products that will keep you (and your family) covered.

    Petro Loves
    SPF50 Organic Sheer Sunscreen Mist£ 32
    Soleil

A lightweight SPF spray is a must-have for me at the beach or when I’m out and about. It’s just so much faster and easier to apply than cream. I love this fast-drying formula, which gives you just enough time to rub it in and ensure you’re covered before it’s completely absorbed. It’s also loaded with organic skincare ingredients and is ocean-safe.

    Petro Loves
    Clean Screen Mineral SPF30 Sunscreen£ 30
    REN

Like most of the mineral-based sunscreens I gravitate towards for my sensitive skin, this one gives my skin a faint white-ish tint when I first smooth it on. But that seems to fade quite quickly as the cream absorbs and has a nice mattifying effect, so my skin doesn’t look at all shiny – even in the heat. And happily, this formula doesn’t make my skin react at all.

    LAURA LOVES
Super Shield Sport Stick SPF 50£ 16
    Babo

My passion for this clean, SPF 50 sun stick is bordering on religious – I keep one in my handbag, weekend tote and beach bag. It goes on sheer, is super-easy to blend and works on the kids too, which is key for me. I also love that it contains organic shea butter, avocado and jojoba oils, so it’s moisturising too.

    Laura Loves
Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF30£ 29
    Drunk Elephant

Good face protection shouldn’t mean compromising on skincare, so I like that this everyday formula protects skin while nourishing it with antioxidants, such as sunflower shoot extract, and hydrating ingredients, including marula oil. It also ticks that clean box for me, as it only uses natural ingredients.
